Operation Blessing, which assists with rent, utility, food, and medical needs in the Perry area recently received a $2,250 grant from the Central Community Foundation.

The grant will assist local residents with rent and medical needs. The organization is open from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 803 Market Street in Perry.

On top of receiving donations, Operation Blessing hosts a monthly shopping center to assist with providing the community with assistance.

The Central Community Foundation provides grants through the Operation Round Up program at Central Rural Electric Cooperative. Members of CREC can round up their monthly electric bills to the nearest dollar to help organizations and residents in need throughout Central’s seven-county service area.
